MEC Network, Inc. was founded in 1995 as an independent Radio Broadcasting Corporation representing Cadena Baja California (CBC is the oldest and pioneer Radio Network with Radio and TV Stations all over the State of Baja California Mexico).

Mr. Mario Enrique Mayans Camacho.

History 

1995
MEC Network, Inc. opened its first office in the city of San Diego, operating XMOR 98.9 FM as the only Rock en Español music Station in the market. XMOR was very popular with the 14-34 years of age demographic segment.

2002
MEC Network, Inc., added to its Radio division XSPN as an affiliate of ESPN Radio.
Since its launch, ESPN Radio 800 has established itself as a local leader in the San Diego Sports Radio scene, with its many broadcast partners including USC Football and Basketball, Anaheim Angels Baseball, MLB World Series, NCAA BCS Championships, NBA Playoffs and Finals, All Star Games, NFL Sunday and Monday Night Football.

2003
MEC Network, Inc. changed XMOR's format to include the most popular music genre of its time: Hip-Hop.
Blazin' 98.9 was born to give the San Diego music fan a true option for popular and progressive hip hop. It has evolved into the most popular hip hop station in
San Diego. Its fresh Programming and innovative marketing innitiatives has made a major impact with its target audience, the 18-34 year old adults.

2009

MEC Network, Inc. announced that a simulcast of the nationally syndicated ESPN Radio sports talk programming and play-by-play replaced the BLAZIN’ “Hip Hop and More” music format on their XMOR-FM 98.9 frequency.
